Irish Comedians Have Come Together For A Hilarious New Video In Support Of Together For Yes

This is guaranteed to give you a giggle.

Together for Yes have raked up a bunch of Irish (or partly Irish) comedians in a new hilarious video supporting the vote to repeal this Friday.

Aisling Bea and Sharon Horgan lead the video in their Repeal jumpers chatting about all the women in their lives that they feel deserve the choice over their own body.

The video includes huge names in comedy such as Ed Byrne, Jimmy Carr, Chris O’Dowd, Dawn O’Porter, Katherine Ryan and Roisin Conaty.

Everyone in the video has some sort of Irish connection, whether being brought up there or with an Irish parent. Aisling Bea describes them as ‘The Judases’, as the one thing they all have in common is the fact that they can no longer vote – they’ve been out of the country for over 18 months.

In one sketch, Father Ted creator Graham Linehan explains to the camera why helping women is the most important thing to do for this campaign while he ignores his wife is struggling to reach something in the background as she asks for his help.

Comedian Grainne Maguire (who live tweeted Enda Kenny her menstrual cycle as it was happening) hilariously says in the video: “I never really believed that Irish women could be trusted with their bodies because I remember how crazy we went for line dancing in the 90s.”

At the end of the video Aisling Bea comes up with a clever analogy with the way Ireland treats its women.

When you vote you get that same mad buzz as you do with confession but without the added shame. Please let Waterford Crystal and Tayto be Ireland’s biggest export, not women.
