Perhaps I’m slightly biased, but I love nothing more than when an Irish person enters the Love Island villa. Maura, Greg and Yewande brought the craic, and their seasons just would not have been the same without them.

It seems that we have another native following in the bombshell footsteps of Maura Higgins and Greg O’Shea, as Waterford musician Emmet Glascott is set to enter the villa.

Announcing that Emmet is joining the other islanders was none other than Jack Fincham, who won the 2018 season with Dani Dyer. Jack is said to be a fan of Emmet’s music, so we can only appreciate that he was the one to update us all on the news.

Sharing the news, Jack said in the video: “I just want to congratulate, and let you know, that Emmet Glascott is gonna be in the Love Island villa this summer. No more swiping on Tinder for you, my friend.” Jack then went on to direct people to Emmet’s Spotify, before wishing him the best of luck.

“I’VE GOT A TEXT! So there’s been rumours…I’m happy to confirm I’ll be on your TV screen this summer…” Emmet wrote on Instagram.

“Finally someone with sex appeal on ITV! New music very very soon!”

Emmet has already had viral moments on social media thanks to his music, one of his original songs, ‘The War’ was previously used in a movie called ‘Suicide & Me’, which sold out at its Belfast ‘Strand Cinema’ premiere. It also features two time Grammy award-winning drummer Dylan Wissing, who plays the drums for Eminem, Drake, Jay-Z and Kanye West. So yeah, a pretty big deal.

Honestly, we can’t wait to see how Emmet gets on in the villa.
