Certainly not what we're used to.

Okay, we’re all well aware that coronavirus has changed everything this year – everything. From all of our summer plans right down to our regular tv viewing, Love Island, we’re looking at you. So when the news was announced that I’m A Celeb was indeed going ahead, we were only delighted for a bit of normality. But of course, that’s going to look a little (or a lot) different too.

ITV were determined for the show to go ahead, thankfully, and it’s been confirmed that the show will take place from the UK this year,  in a ‘ruined castle in the countryside’,  rather than the usual Australian jungle.

According to Richard Cowles, Director of Entertainment at ITV Studios, “We pulled out all the stops to try and make the series happen in Australia. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and despite us looking at many different contingencies, it became apparent that it just wasn’t possible for us to travel and make the show there.”

He added, “Our celebrities will probably have to swap shorts for thermals but they can still look forward to a basic diet of rice and beans and plenty of thrills and surprises along the way.”

Well, there you have it. The rumoured line up leaves us with a whole lot of hope, including names such as Jessie J, Carole Baskin, Maura Higgins, Vernon Kay, and more. Check out the full list right here.
