What a whirlwind the year 2020 is, each month has brought us something disastrous. But fair play to September, we’re only three days in and they’ve blessed us with a bit of good news. It’s official, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have founded their own production company and have struck a deal with streaming service Netflix.

Ever since the pair announced that they would be stepping down from their royal titles, we were all rather nosey, mad to know what they’d do next. And now, well now we know.

The name of their production company has yet to be revealed, but it promises a range of children’s programmes, films, documentaries and docu-series.

In a statement, Meghan and Harry announced, “Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.” They also added that Netflix’s “unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action.”

“We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere,” says Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s co-chief executive and chief content officer.

There’s no word yet how much the couple will make from this major deal. But either way, we can’t wait to see what they come out with.
