‘I’ve Done Lots Of Soul Searching’: Lindsay Lohan Apologises For Social Media Outbursts
Her bust-up with her fiancé has been very public indeed.
Lindsay Lohan is trying to work on things with Egor Tarabasov, and she’s taking some time for herself too.
That’s what she said on Instagram last night, sharing an apologetic post with her 4.7m followers. The apology comes after almost two weeks of sporadic social media outbursts about her fiancé’s behaviour, plus an incident in London over the weekend during which the police were called to the actress’s Knightsbridge apartment.
“Dear friends. I’m good and well. #ATM I am taking time for myself with good friends. I am sorry that I’ve exposed certain private matters recently,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself standing on a yacht.
“I was acting out of fear and sadness… We all make mistakes,” she continued.
“Sadly mine have always been so public. I have done a lot of soul searching in the past years, and I should have been more clear minded rather than distract from the good heart that I have.
“Social media comes with the territory of the business and the world we now live in. My intentions were not meant to send mixed messages.”
While the majorty of the post seemed
scripted by her social media manager restrained, Lindsay did give some personal insight at the end regarding how things stood with Russian businessman Egor.
“Maybe things can be fixed… Maybe not,” she wrote. “I hope they can. But I am 30 years old and I do deserve a #GENTLEgiant Life is about love and light. Not anger Thank you to those who stand by my side.”
Lindsay is currently back in the US, after flying out on Monday following a tumultuous weekend. Neighbours reported hearing the actress screaming from her balcony in the early hours of Saturday morning, saying “Please please please. He just strangled me. He almost killed me. Everybody will know. Get out of my house.’”
By the time police arrived and kicked the door down, the apartment was empty.
The incident comes a week after Lindsay threw Egor’s phone into the sea after getting into an argument at a resort in Mykonos, Greece.
