Jack Whitehall’s Interaction With Little Mix At The Brits Was Excruciating To Watch

"Cringeworthy. Had to switch off."

The Brit Awards took place in the o2 Arena in London last night, and like most massive award shows, there were some awkward moments that made us cringe in our seats.

There’s no arguing that the most awkward/inappropriate award of the night goes to Jack Whitehall for his interactions with Little Mix. The gals scooped up the award for Best British Music Video for ‘Woman Like Me’ featuring Nicki Minaj last night, so host Jack decided to visit their table for a little chat.

The comedian managed to squeeze as many uncomfortable topics into a quick interview as possible, including Jesy Nelson’s Jamaican accent, Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell.

In a series of terrible jokes, he began:

“I know last year I brought up the Jamaican accent, and I’m under strict instruction not to mention it again. We’re just going to bring up your music and ting. Real talk: can we bring up exes? Don’t worry, I’m not talking about boyfriend. When you left Simon Cowell girls, it raised a few eyebrows. Not his, obviously, he’s lost all movement in his eyebrows. Is there any bad blood, or are you still friends?”

He then referenced the band’s fight with Piers Morgan, adding:

“He didn’t like that picture where you stripped off naked … voluptuous chest and four chins, it must have been like looking in the mirror for him. Jesy, what would you say to that dutty wasteman?”

The girls looked very unimpressed during the entire conversation, even rolling their eyes at multiple stages. It was painful to watch, experience it for yourself here.

The people of Twitter also found the encounter painfully awkward. Here’s what some had to say about it:

Jack was also criticised for making an “inappropriate” joke about Little Mix’s performance on the night.

After they performed their winning single ‘Woman Like Me’, Jack said: “Dads up and down the country are awkwardly fumbling for a scatter cushion right now.”

The reaction to the joke on Twitter was overwhelmingly negative.

Seems like a very messy night to us.
