Jamie Oliver To Launch New Cooking Show Amid Covid-19 Pandemic

"Cooking nutritious meals for yourself and your loved ones has never been more important."

Everyone’s favourite celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver, has announced he has a new show coming to Channel 4.

Amid the current Covid-19 pandemic we have seen crazy queues in supermarkets and empty shelves. We’re also sure we’re not the only ones who are suddenly seeing their friends and family posting new meals and recipes they’ve tried on Instagram.

So, really there is no better time to try cooking something new and experiment in the kitchen than now, you’ll have plenty of people at home to help you eat it all too!

The show, Keep Cooking and Carry On will be teaching us to make delicious meals from foods we would usually find in our freezers and cupboards, so no need for any fancy or difficult to get ingredients.

The head of Formats and Features at the channel, Sarah Lazenby has said; “Who better than Jamie to help us all navigate the day to day challenge of eating well and feeding our families?” and that this “is part of Channel 4’s response to these unprecedented times.”

Jamie is already well known for his simple, no fuss food that is very much aimed at getting the average person excited about cooking. His books 30 Minute Meals and Ministry of Food are staples now in most households.

As Jamie said himself; “Cooking nutritious meals for yourself and your loved ones has never been more important.”

Jamie: Keep Cooking and Carry on starts 17.30, Monday 23 March on Channel 4 and will run for five days.
