Joe Alwyn Makes First Public Appearance Since Taylor Swift Split

He's back in action, baby.

Joe Alwyn has been laying low the last few months – six, to be exact.

The Conversations With Friends actor was seen at a dinner in French Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc with Celine in May, for the Cannes Film Festival.

Then, he seemed to drop off the public radar. That is, until yesterday!

Joe showed up on the red carpet for GQ’s Men Of The Year Awards at the Royal Opera House in London.

The 32 year old looked as dapper as ever in an all black suit with a leather jacket.

Many have suspected Joe’s temporary absence to be connected to his break up with famous musician Taylor Swift.

The pair called it quits in May after six years of dating, and were notoriously private about their relationship.

We can understand why Joe might not have wanted the spotlight on him for a while – after all, you can count on the Swifties to report every move made by one of her partners, ex or otherwise!

This is especially considering the extreme amount of attention on Taylor right now, as she shows off her new boo and NFL footballer Travis Kelce to the world.

Neither Taylor nor Joe have spoken publicly about the breakup, and fans have been left in the dark about what led to it.

Nevertheless, they have their theories; many of which are supported but he reaction of Taylor’s besties to the news.

Around the time of their split, Taylor was spotted out for lunches and dinners with many of her close friends.

Following a lot of these interactions, the friends in question would unfollow Joe on Instagram, leading many to assume he had wronged her in some way.

Elle reported at the time that Gigi Hadid, Ryan Reynolds, Austin Swift and all three Haim sisters had unfollowed Joe.

Of course, we’ll most likely never know the full truth, and it’s probably best not to speculate.
