Justin Bieber Says He’s ‘Proud’ Of Simone Biles After Withdrawing From Olympics

This week Olympian Simone Biles revealed that she was withdrawing from the competition to focus on her mental health.

The decision was surprising to some but the vast majority of people have been sharing their love, admiration and support for the 24-year-old in recent days.

The latest well-known figure to speak out is Justin Bieber.

The singer took to Instagram to share a photo of Simone with a caption that praised her for saying:

“Nobody will ever understand the pressures you face! I know we don’t know each other but I’m so proud of the decision to withdraw,” he opened.

“It’s as simple as – what does it mean to gain the whole world but forfeit your soul.

“Sometimes our no’s are more powerful than our yes’s. When what you normally love starts to steal your joy it’s important we take a step back to evaluate why.”

Continuing, the Holy singer added:

“People thought I was crazy for not finishing the purpose tour but it was the best thing I could have done for my mental health!! So proud of you @simonebiles”

In 2017, Justin called off the last 14 dates of his Purpose world tour stating: “I want my mind heart and soul to be sustainable”.

He added at the time: “I’m not expecting anyone to understand, but I do want people to understand where I’m coming from.”
