Kardashians Producer Reveals Cameras Were Rolling When Tristan’s Baby Scandal Broke

The crew were at Khloe's to film an entirely different scene when the news hit.

Back in December, the news broke that Tristan Thompson had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols while he was filming Hulu’s The Kardashians alongside girlfriend and mother to his four-year-old daughter, Khloe Kardashian.

Tristan’s return to the show came after the pair moved in together during lockdown, choosing to co-parent together and regain trust before Khloe officially admitted on the show that the pair were “actually in a really good place. We just got back together.”

However, as Khloe noted when live-tweeting during the last episode – which was filmed in October 2021, “well we know how this aged,” as the pair have since split again.

In December, Kardashians producer Danielle King told US Weekly that they actually caught the heartbreaking moment Khloe’s heart shattered when she found out Tristan Thompson had betrayed the star yet again. With a positive paternity test, it proved that Tristan had fathered a child with another woman, Marlee Nichols.

“Well for that particular moment, my crew was there. We were there to film something else early in the morning and the morning that news broke, we legitimately just happened to be there. We have that moment on camera.

“I know sometimes it’s tough for the audience to kind of grasp like “Oh, did they go back and did they capture this?” Danielle revealed.

“But there were so many moments that we genuinely captured just because we’re almost always there. There’s almost always a camera going.

“Our story goes in a completely different direction sometimes,” she added. “We might be going there to shoot one thing, and then I’m usually like ‘Oh OK, I didn’t see this coming but here we go.'”

As for whether or not we’ll see those raw moments in their entirety, well, that’ll be up to the KarJenner family and their personal boundaries as they’re also executive producers on the show.

And this isn’t Tristan’s first time breaking Khloe’s trust or being unfaithful.

The NBA star allegedly cheated on the star both in October 2017 and right before the birth of the pair’s first child while playing basketball in New York. TMZ released footage at the time of the star getting “up close and personal” with three women, with more footage of him entering and exiting his hotel with one of the women.

Then in 2019, Kardashian BFF Jordyn Woods admitted to kissing the basketball player, who was dating Khloe Kardashian at the time, at a party in LA earlier that year.

Now, the baby bombshell has been added to the list, with the cameras rolling just when things were looking up for the pair’s relationship.
