Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom Have Welcomed A Baby Girl

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have welcomed a little girl into the world.

Doing one up on any other celeb baby announcement, they shared the news on the UNICEF Instagram page, a charity that they are Goodwill Ambassadors for.

In a black and white snap of all three holding hands, they announced baby girl’s sweet name alongside the image:

“Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honoured to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors @KatyPerry and @OrlandoBloom’s new bundle of joy.”

Speaking about the birth, Katy and Orlando said:

“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.”

The caption also went on to speak about the struggles many mothers and newborns face in countries where access to soap, water, vaccines, and medicine are slim.

“Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes,”

The continued:

“As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.”

Katy and Orlando announced their pregnancy back in March, debuting her bump in her music video ‘Never Worn White’.

Since then, Katy has been dropping hints of what her daughters name will, releasing her song ‘Daisies’ back in May.

Sine then, Katy has gone on to drop even more clues, wearing clothes covered in a daisy print, realeasing a daisy shoe in her collection, sharing pictures of wild daisies on her Instagram account, and finally painting a tiny daisy on her fingernail, which you can peep in the announcement picture. This is the kind of cohesion and dedication we live for!
