That night, she performed and hosted and then got on a plane to LA for surgery. That was Wednesday night, and the star was reportedly back in work on The Voice on Monday.
Now, Kelly has revealed that just a week after her appendectomy, she was struck down again.
This time around the Piece by Piece singer had an ovarian cyst which burst. Jeez, This girl can’t catch a break!
Speaking about the ordeal, she said: “Blake [Shelton] was talking to me and all of the sudden, everything he said just went away and I had to grab his arm and I was like, ‘Something is wrong.’”
“That was more painful than the appendicitis,” she told People. “It was literally a week after my surgery so I was freaking out!”
Kelly added that she was pretty confused about the whole thing at the time.
“I was hysterically laughing and crying at one point in the E.R. like ‘What is happening?’”
But luckily, Kelly is a total trooper and made a full recovery.
“I’m great now. I’m totally great now,” she said.
