Kelly Clarkson Had An Ovarian Cyst Burst During The Voice – A Week After Getting Her Appendix Out

Kelly Clarkson has proved that she practices what she preaches when it comes to strength and resilience.

The singer is known for her songs about overcoming obstacles and she’s been forced to prove this over the last year.

In May, it was revealed that Kelly was suffering with stomach pain while The Billboard Music Awards, and it turned out to be her appendix.

That night, she performed and hosted and then got on a plane to LA for surgery. That was Wednesday night, and the star was reportedly back in work on The Voice on Monday.

Now, Kelly has revealed that just a week after her appendectomy, she was struck down again.

This time around the Piece by Piece singer had an ovarian cyst which burst. Jeez, This girl can’t catch a break!

Speaking about the ordeal, she said: “Blake [Shelton] was talking to me and all of the sudden, everything he said just went away and I had to grab his arm and I was like, ‘Something is wrong.’”

“That was more painful than the appendicitis,” she told People. “It was literally a week after my surgery so I was freaking out!”

Kelly added that she was pretty confused about the whole thing at the time.

“I was hysterically laughing and crying at one point in the E.R. like ‘What is happening?’”

But luckily, Kelly is a total trooper and made a full recovery.

“I’m great now. I’m totally great now,” she said.

Just so you know, many ovarian cysts don’t have symptoms and go away on their own. but larger cysts can have symptoms like pelvic pain, a fullness or heaviness in your abdomen and bloating. So, you should head to your GP if any of this sounds familiar.
