Kem and Amber’s Love Island Sex Scenes Are Being Cut From The Show For A Very Fair Reason

Only three of their 12 sex scenes were shown on air.

ITV’s Love Island is purposely designed to help single men and women fall in love, and sex is a natural part of that.

But it seems that producers of the reality show have intentionally cut down on the amount of sex scenes they show on air – especially when it comes to one particular couple.

Twenty-year-old Amber Davies and 21-year-old Kem Cetinay have reportedly gotten down and dirty 12 times since the show aired in June, but only three of their sexcapades have been broadcast on TV.

The reason for this is bosses feel viewers will be turned off by multiple sex scenes, so they’ve decided to only show couples ‘doing the deed’ if it’s important to the storyline.

A show insider told the Sun, “Some couples can’t stop having sex and are going at it almost every night. Producers are being ultra-careful not to let sex become the focus of the show so have refrained from airing saucy scenes.

“Countless sex sessions have been left on the cutting room floor over fears they could be seen to be sensationalising sex if it’s on every night.”

A Love Island spokeswoman also told the paper, “The show isn’t about sex, it’s about following the couples’ journeys. We only show moments of intimacy when we feel it is important to a couple’s story.”

Would you prefer if the sex scenes were shown on air, or nah?
