Kim Kardashian was recently called out by fans over an apparent ‘photoshop fail’ in a new Skims ad, which quickly went viral on TikTok.

In the quick clip, Kim can be seen lying on her side showing off her new shapewear underwear. Kim explains how the underwear ‘snaps right back’ before running her finger over her hip and waist. In the video, Kim’s finger appears to warp as she touches her waist, hinting that it may be photoshopped to make her waist appear smaller.

Now, since the video has gone viral, Kim has come out to address the claims made in the clip, insisting that she did not edit or retouch her waist in the ad.

Speaking with Page Six a member of Kim’s team explained that the bent finger is the result of a glitch and not editing.

“The Skims commercial that aired last week featuring the Fits Everybody collection did initially have an error as a result of the video losing its quality during the uploading process”

“Immediately after it was noticed by the team, the video was pulled, and the glitch-free version was uploaded and ran for the remainder of the time on air. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused Kim and our customers.”

Right, well that definitely clears that up then, for sure.

The new collection, called ‘Skims Fits Everybody’ has inclusivity at its roots, with multiple sizes available. For this reason, Kim has reportedly specified that she does not want to be retouched for the campaign.
