Kim Kardashian Has Been Slammed For Advertising A ‘Diet’ Lollipop
"This is disgusting, you use your influence to promote this?"
Kim Kardashian is on the receiving end of an awful lot of hate this morning after she posted a controversial sponsored post on her Instagram page.
The mother of three has found herself in some hot water after promoting an appetite suppressing treat to her followers. Kim is no stranger to dieting and speaking about her desire for a ‘perfect body’, however this time followers think she has taken it a little too far.
The post shows Kim sucking on a lollipop with the caption: “#ad You guys… @flattummyco just dropped a new product. They’re Appetite Suppressant Lollipops and they’re literally unreal. They’re giving the first 500 people on their website 15% OFF so if you want to get your hands on some… you need to do it quick! #suckit”. She has since deleted the post.
Some of her followers left comments under the post expressing their disappointment in the reality star for promoting something so unhealthy to her young and potentially vulnerable followers.
Comments such as one reading: “This is disgusting, you use your influence to promote this???” were left under the post.
Another follower expressed her opinion that although there’s nothing wrong with sponsored content, it’s wrong if it will have a negative affect on the people being influenced.

There’s nothing wrong with earning a living. But not at the expense of hundreds of teens who would enter that vicious cycle of insecurity and body shaming. Not at the expense of all these people. Not at the expense of their health. No. I rather be dirt poor begging on the street than earn money in such a disgusting manner.
The lollipop company claims the lollies “suppress your appetite” and keep “hunger under control and cravings in-check” by “maximising satiety”, and urges customers to such one or two today “whenever you start to feel hungry”.
Do you think Kim is having a negative influence on her fans?
