Kyle Richards Says Her Separation Has Been ‘Very Hard To Do’ In The ‘Public Eye’

Kyle Richards has gotten real about how it’s been attempting to navigate a very public separation from her husband of  27 years.

While chatting with her fans at the Amazon Live panel, Kyle admitted navigating their relationship since the separation has been tough for a number of reasons.

A fan asked how they were doing to which The Real Housewives star replied: “That’s a very loaded question. You know this has been very hard to do [because] it’s playing out with so many people having eyes on us and [with us] being in the public eye.”

She later shared how much they care about each other even noting they had been on holiday together with their family in recent weeks.

“Obviously we care about each other a lot,” she said. “It’s just too much to deal with right now.”

It was confirmed by PEOPLE on July 3, that Kyle and Mauricio had made the decision to separate following 27 years of marriage.

A source told them: “Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”

Kyle and Mauricio first met at a nightclub in Los Angeles back in 1994. The 51-year-old had just divorced from her first husband Guraish Aldjufrie, who she had one daughter with.

Following their engagement later that year, the pair tied the knot in January 1996 and later welcomed three daughters into their lives Alexia, 27, Sophie, 23 and Portia, 15.
