Liam Hemsworth Just Proved He’s A Keeper With This Birthday Surprise For Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus turned the ripe old age of 24 yesterday, and her on-again fiancé Liam Hemsworth went all out to make her big day a special one.

The pair rekindled their romance late last year, three years after calling off their engagement for the first time. Although they’ve been taking things slowly, the pair do seem to be happier than ever, as is evidenced by their Instagram posts from Miley’s at-home birthday celebrations.

Things started off with balloons and flowers in bed:

Liam took to social media to wish a happy birthday to his “favourite little angel” and to show off his DIY wrapping skills, which we have to admit are very good.

Inside the unicorn box? A rainbow sparkler.

The rainbows didn’t stop there, either.

There was a rainbow cake, topped with a fondant replica of Miley’s dog Emu.

Liam went all out, putting together an entire house full of rainbow decor in honour of the birthday girl. Though knowing Miley, we’re guessing those day-glo walls and that mirrored piano are permanent fixtures, not just birthday additions.

Miley’s fiancé must have been taking notes before going shopping for that ring, because it couldn’t look more different to the traditional diamond engagement sparkler he presented her with back in January.

Speaking on The Ellen Show last month, the singer admitted she rarely wore her ring, sometimes replacing it with a “plastic unicorn” or a “Looney tune” to fit with her personal style.

“This is really weird because this is like real jewellery,” the singer told Ellen of her new ring, a bauble-style diamond in a gold setting.

“[M]ost of my jewellery is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy and they don’t look that good together, because they kind of mix up, so sometimes I replace it. And he [Liam]’s kind of like what’s going on? It’s like, well, this isn’t really my aesthetic, but I’ll wear it because you love me.”

Hopefully Miley will have no qualms about wearing her new rainbow rock.
