Looks Like Kate Middleton’s Character Might Finally Be Joining The Crown!

Who will be playing her?

Fans of The Crown will know that the show is quickly getting closer to modern day events, with a recent casting call from the directors searching for actors who could play Prince Harry and Prince William in their late teens.

Well, rumour has it that the hit Netflix series based on the royal family are now searching for their Kate Middleton character – and everyone is dying to know who it might be!

Next season of The Crown will be the fifth instalment, and it’s said to cover the late nineties and early 2000’s. This will mean that Kate’s part will be relatively minor, as this would only be showing a sneak peek into the beginning of her romance with Prince William, when the pair met at the University of St.Andrews in Scotland.

Although nothing has been confirmed yet, the casting call for Harry and William stated that there is no previous acting experience required, so we’d imagine it’ll be the same for Kate’s character. The show has been pretty dedicated to getting the closest lookalikes possible for each role, so it seems like they’ll focus on finding the best doppelganger they can.

We already know some of the casting choices for the fifth season of the show, which will air in November. The queen will be played by none other than Imelda Staunton, best known for her role in Harry Potter as Dolores Umbridge, while Princess Diana will be played by Elizabeth Debicki, a relatively unknown Australian actress who passes a striking resemblance to the late princess when she’s all done up for the role.

Filming for the sixth season starts in August, so if you look anything like Duchess Kate, you might want to book a flight to the set of the Crown and start casually hanging around!
