Lori Loughlin Could Face Up To 40 Years In Prison Thanks To New Charges She’s Facing

Yesterday it was revealed that Felicity Huffman was pleading guilty in the US college admissions scandal. Now, it’s been revealed that her fellow actress, Lori Loughlin, could be facing a lot more time than originally expected.

Yesterday, Loughlin, her husband, and 14 other parents were charged with money laundering in addition to their original fraud conspiracy charges.

According to prosecutors, the new charges come from alleged payments the parents made to a charity that was set up by the person who orchestrated this whole scheme, William “Rick” Singer. The money that was sent to Singer was allegedly used to bribe athletic coaches and pay off university officials and exam proctors. It was then allegedly written off on tax forms because it was reported as a charitable donation.

Additional to the 20 years the celebs involved in the scandal were facing, Loughlin and her husband could get another 20 years if convicted of both crimes.

Loughlin’s daughter, YouTuber Olivia Jade, has yet to comment on the issue.
