Louis Tomlinson’s Mum Johannah Deakin Has Tragically Passed Away Aged 42
She died after a short battle with leukaemia
Some sad news today as it’s been confirmed that Louis Tomlinson’s mother Johannah Deakin has passed away.
The 42-year-old died on Wednesday after a long battle with cancer, her family confirmed in a statement today. “It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016,” the statement read.
“Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private.”
As well as being mum to 24-year-old Louis, Johannah also leaves behind her daughters Lottie, 18, Felicite, 16, two sets of twins, Phoebe and Daisy, 12, and Ernest and Doris, 2 plus her grandson, Louis’ baby son Freddie.
Johannah’s husband of two years, Dan Deakin, paid tribute to his wife and “best friend” in a statement today, calling her an “incredibly selfless” woman.
Louis has remained silent on social media in recent days, though his last Instagram post – published November 16th – is a sweet message to his mum.
“I love you and miss you so much,” he wrote alongside the snap of the pair posing before The Brit Awards.
Louis’ sister Felicité, meanwhile, tweeted an image of a broken heart yesterday:
