Malia Obama’s Birthday Outfit Was A €39 ASOS Skirt (Which Is Now Selling Out, Obvs)

With her dad taking the reigns as US President when she was just ten years old, Malia Obama has spent most of her formative years in the spotlight.

But the First Daughter turns 18 today, and she’s come out of her teen years without so much as a hiccup. As well as being smart (she’s Harvard-bound next year, doncha know), the eldest Obama sibling has spent the last few years building her rep as something of a style icon.

Okay, there’s not a whole lot of style competition in the world of US politics – unless you count Hilary’s love of a bold print – but still, Malia knows what’s up. And on a trip to Madrid over her birthday weekend she was rocking some seriously stunning summer looks.

Case in point is this ASOS midi skirt, which has been quickly selling out online since Malia wore it out and about in the Spanish city last Friday, July 1st:

Two days beforehand, the teen donned another high-street bargain for a visit to a local Spanish air base with her mum.

While the green and white striped dress definitely worked with low heels as a summer look, we reckon it’d look even better with chunky platforms on a night out.
