Margot Robbie Had To Sew Her Oscars Dress Back Together After Walking The Red Carpet

Karl Lagerfeld, you’ve got some explaining to do.

Earlier this week, Oscar nominee Margot Robbie was named as the newest ambassador for Chanel, a pretty sweet gig by all accounts.

It was no surprise then that she repped the design house at the Oscars on Sunday – but although she looked beautiful in her white gown, it seems they did her dirty.

According to People, Margot had to sew her dress back together right after she walked the red carpet. One of the beaded straps snapped off and, after asking her team to fetch her a sewing kit, she mended it herself in the middle of the venue.

“Oh, ain’t got time for that!” she joked to reporters.

But she wasn’t the only one there suffering from a wardrobe malfunction – fellow Best Actress nominee Sally Hawkins came over to sympathise, and told Margot that she too was rapidly losing beads from her Armani dress.

Not to go all Mam on ye, but HOLY GOD. The price of these gowns, and they can’t even survive one wear? We’ll be sticking to Penneys. Not that we ever have a hope of getting a Chanel gown on us, but look.
