National Treasure Aisling Bea Has Been Cast In A New US Comedy Pilot
The Irish are taking over.
Aisling Bea is one of the greatest things to come out of Ireland since Dairygold butter.
The comedian is the co-host on long-running hit British panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats with Jimmy Carr, and flexed her acting muscles in the crime thriller The Fall.
Today she announced that she’s been cast in an untitled comedy pilot for NBC – it was written by Aseem Batra, who has produced and written for shows like Scrubs and The Cleveland Show. So we have a really good feeling about this one!
Aisling will be joining a cast that includes Sarayu Blue, Paul Adelstein, Zach Cherry, James Buckley, and Johnny Pemberton.
I’m doing a pilot! But enough about my love life, I’m also working on this which is nice. https://t.co/Ne0mN4ASDa

This new project is set to be based around the book I Feel Bad: All Day. Every Day. About Everything by Orli Auslander, and is described as “one woman’s hilarious, unfiltered take on the side effects of trying to have it all”.
Aisling has been cast as Simone, the main character’s childhood friend.
Just when we thought it couldn’t sound any better, the show will also be co-produced and written by Amy Poehler. There’s no air date as of yet, but watch this space. Congrats, Ais!
