Netflix Is Making A Eurovision Movie And The Casting Is Perfect!
Yes to more of Pierce Brosnan singing!
Netflix has answered the prayers we didn’t know we had by making a Eurovision movie.
The global phenomenon is set to be looked at in the feature film written by Will Ferrell and Andrew Steele.
There’s not a huge amount of detail about the film yet other than the fact that it will follow two contestants on their journey to the competition.
The tagline reads: “When aspiring musicians Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the worldโs biggest song competition, they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for.”
While the story is pretty straightforward, we are most excited about the cast members announced so far.
Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams will play the musicians Lars and Sigrit.
Pierce Brosnan will star as Erick Erickssong – Icelandic musicians Lars Erickssongโs father and the most handsome man in Iceland!
There’s no word on the release that just yet, but the film is currently in production in the UK and Iceland.
