Netflix Just Revealed The Plot For The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2
And it sounds SPOOKY!
We already had a hunch that we’d be getting a second instalment of our fave scary Netflix show The Haunting of Hill House, but now it’s been confirmed what we’re in for and when we’re getting it!
Yesterday, Netflix revealed that there will be a second chapter in what’s now called The Haunting anthology. What’s an anthology, you ask? According to Wikipedia, an anthology series is a radio, television or book series that presents a different story and a different set of characters in each episode or season – think American Horror Story.
The second season of the show is titled The Haunting of Bly Manor.
Bly Manor takes inspiration from the 1898 Henry James novella The Turn Of The Screw. According to Refinery29, the novella, which first appeared serially in Collier’s weekly magazine, takes place at a country house named Bly.
Two children, Miles and Flora, head to Bly for the summer to be cared for by their governess. During their time at the home, the governess starts seeing ghostly figures of a man and a woman and learns information about the family’s past that unnerves her.
Cindy Holland, vice president of original content at Netflix, said of the announcement: “Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy are masterful at creating authentically frightening stories that leave audiences on the edge of their seats, but unable to look away.
We’re excited to continue our partnership with them on The Haunting series and future projects to come.”
A teaser for the show was released yesterday, and it’s already terrifying. Watch it below and listen carefully!
