Next In Fashion Has Been Cancelled After One Season
Sad news for fashion lovers
Sad news for fashion lovers today, as Netflix fashion competition ‘Next In Fashion‘ has been cancelled after just one season.
The show which was hosted by Tan France and Alexa Chung was a modern-day Project Runway that launched earlier in the year. If you’re unfamiliar with the format, it saw 18 fashion designers competing against one another for a $250,000 and a collection with popular retailer Net-a-Porter.
In the finale of the show, we saw South Korean designer Minju Kim take the coveted title, but while we all enjoyed the dramatics from episode one to the very end, it doesn’t look like we’ll be treated to another season of the show.
Announcing that there are no new future seasons on the horizon Tan France told Variety:
“we’re not doing a second a season,”
“This is a one-season show, we don’t know what will happen in the future, but it was honestly one of the proudest things I’ve ever worked on. I love the show and Alexa so much,”
“My focus is definitely on Queer Eye and moving forward with that.” he continued.
While we’re down one good Netflix show now, luckily for us, we’re up another, with season 5 of Queer Eye dropping today.
The long-awaited fifth season will see 10 make-overs take place in Texas, so that’s our weekend sorted!
