No, Maura Higgins Won’t Be The Bachelorette Anytime Soon

Rumours have been swirling about Maura Higgins and what reality show she would take on next.

Last week it was confirmed that she would be taking to the dance floor on the US version of Dancing with the Stars.

However, she has now shut down rumours about another hugely popular show.

Reports had claimed that The Bachelorette had their eye on Maura.

However, it looks like she won’t be heading to the dating show after all.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she denied the rumours.

“Absolutely not. Come on guys, I’m 35!” she told the publication.

“Do you know what? I’m so happy. I don’t want a man. I don’t want anyone in my space. I like to come home to my beautiful, clean house. I don’t have to pick up their s**t I don’t actually have time anyway.”

Instead, she’ll be focusing on Dancing with the Stars, joking that she wants to lift the Mirrorball Trophy and put it in her Birkin.

It comes after a Reddit thread began at the start of March with one fan saying: “Hear me out…Maura Higgins for the next Bachelorette. I’m surprised no one has mentioned this. I would so watch her season.”

“She’s the most beautiful woman I’ve seen on TV,” another said.

A third said: “I’d start watching again…”

Even celebrity gossip Instagram page, Deux-Moi, has shared rumours that this could be the case.

They claimed that ABC is “looking into getting Maura Higgins to be the next Bachelorette and do a living shooting of it”.

Maura left the side eye emoji on the post which only fueled speculation. However, she’s closed the door on that now.
