Ooh La La! Emily In Paris Has Just Started Filming Season Two!
We are literally counting down the days for this.
Given that it’s a bank holiday weekend in lockdown, and it’s raining we really deserve some good news, don’t we?
We have exactly that, as it’s just been announced that Emily in Paris is back filming for season two!
The Netflix show was a massive hit when it was released last year, partly due to the fact it’s so bad it’s good.
The exciting news was announced on the official Instagram account for the show; “Bonjour from Paris (and maybe some other areas of France😉)! We’re officially back in production on Season 2!” alongside some of our favourite cast members sharing the news.
So, what can we expect from Emily in season two?

Firstly, Emily is going to be staying in Paris. Oui, oui, this is now her home, and in this season, it’s believed Emily will be less lost puppy, more popular local, think Carrie Bradshaw NYC vibes.
This has been confirmed as the Netflix announcement also includes a letter for a work permit from Emily’s employer at Savour, Sylvie which says she’ll be staying on in Paris.
“In season 2, she’s going to be more of a part of the fabric of the world she’s living in. She’ll be more of a resident of the city. She’ll have her feet on the ground a little more. She’s making a life there,” creator Darren Star told Oprah Magazine.

So, between her job and her social life, Emily is getting settled in Paris, but what about her love life?
Well, as we all know, season one ended on a serious cliffhanger, opening up the doors (and a can of worms for season two).
While talking about the love mess-up between, Emily, Gabriel and Cami, Darren previously gave a slight input on that too.
“What happens in the next chapter, I think, can be a real exploration of how does the relationship between these three characters evolve.
“That, to me, is such a fun thing to explore in Season 2, because these are not Americans. They’re French people. To me, a big part of the show is looking at everything through a different lens. Season 2 will open up some interesting and surprising relationship avenues.”
