Oprah Spoke At The Golden Globes And Now Everyone Wants Her To Be President
Even Piers Morgan is a fan of the idea.
Oprah Winfrey accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award at last night’s Golden Globes and it was so emotional and inspiring that people are calling on her to run for president in 2020.
She began by talking about her childhood and the significance of seeing the first black man being awarded an Oscar. “I had never seen a black man being celebrated like that. And I have tried many, many, many times to explain what a moment like that means to a little girl… but all I can do is quote and say that the explanation in Sidney’s performance in Lilies of the Field, “Amen, Amen…. Amen, Amen.”
She went on to discuss sexual assault, explaining that women have endured too much abuse and it’s time for justice to be served. “For too long women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men. But their time is up… Their time is up.” See Oprah’s full speech below.

I am fine if #Oprah is the first female president. In fact, that's ideal.
