Ouch! The Real Reason Calvin Harris Ended Things With Taylor Swift Is Pretty Upsetting
There's no Bad Blood, but this pair are done-zo.
Hearts broke the world over last night after it was confirmed that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris had called time on their 15-month relationship.
The pair seemed like the picture of love for the first year of their romance, but things seemed to sour for them after their one-year anniversary, with Calvin skipping the Met Gala at the start of May, and Taylor side-stepping questions about her boyfriend’s recovery following his car accident three weeks later.
Now it’s emerged that Calvin was the one who pushed for the relationship to end, after he began to “lose interest” in the Blank Space singer.
Despite their shaky ending, various sources have insisted that things came to an amicable finish for the pair, but it was most definitely Calvin calling the shots.
“Taylor’s heart was more in it then he [Calvin] was. He started to lose interest over the past few months, but really tried to not just break up,” a source explains to E! News, adding that the pair were simply very different people.
“They were just not very compatible in different areas in their relationship. Taylor and Adam had a very different group of friends.”

While Taylor is currently on a hiatus from work after a hectic year of touring her album 1989, Calvin has just begun a summer of DJing gigs across Europe and the US.
“The touring and traveling didn’t help. It seemed like they were more friends than lovers,” the source adds.
The question of infidelity has of course arisen, but Calvin’s camp say he was completely faithful during the relationship.
“There were no other women involved with Adam. He did not cheat on her at all. Just not a good match,” another insider notes.
As for Taylor, the singer apparently “doesn’t want to get back together,” and feels that Calvin let her down in more than one way.
“Taylor was really disappointed in Calvin and felt like he wasn’t there for her,” a friend tells E!.
“The relationship wasn’t progressing the way she wanted it to. She felt like he wasn’t taking it seriously enough and wouldn’t come through for her when she needed him most. She felt down and like her needs weren’t being met.”
Sounds like we’re in for one heck of a new album from Taylor soon…
