Over 200 Ofcom Complaints Over Love Island ‘Bullying’ Concerns

Hurricane Belle is in full force

It’s been more like Fight Island than Love Island these past few weeks, as everyone and their mother has been getting involved in every single scrap.

There’s been Belle kicking off over Lucinda and Sean. There’s been Lucinda and Samie failing to see eye to eye. There’s been Leanne being frustrated that Scott wants to get to know Belle.

And then there’s been Harrison just flirting up a storm with everyone and leaving the villa in a heap as he uses the same lines on all of the girls.

But Harrison hasn’t received any Ofcom complaints – at least not this year. Those have been reserved mainly for Belle.

According to The Sun, a total of 120 complaints were registered during Feb 6’s episode, which saw Belle and Lucinda fight over whether it was acceptable for Lucinda to get to know Sean or not.

Belle shouted at both of them after returning from villa USA, before the pair eventually coupled up. And in fairness, they seem to be getting on quite well since then, so maybe it was all worth it.

A few days before a further 53 complaints were registered, also regarding the entire Belle / Lucinda / Sean triangle and concerns of “bullying.”

Such concerns had also been raised earlier in the season when Scott was giving Sean a particularly hard time.

So where does this leave us? Well, things have definitely calmed down between Belle and Lucinda.

In fact, Belle seems to have gone and done the exact same thing to Leanne she was criticising Lucinda over by getting to know Scott.

Scott made his mind up though in last night’s episode when he decided to get back with Leanne and leave Belle firmly in the friendzone.

We’ll see how long that lasts…
