Paralympian Cyclists Katie-George Dunlevy And Eve McCrystal Win Silver In Tokyo

A huge congratulations!

Ireland has received another medal at the paralympics in Tokyo with Katie-George Dunlevy And Eve McCrystal winning silver in the 3000m Individual Pursuit.

The pair were all smiles when getting their well deserved medals while still having two events to go in the competition, what an early boost of confidence for the girls.

After the win Katie said, “If someone said to me before that I would get a medal in the pursuit I would never have thought it in my wildest dreams. We were hoping to do a good ride and get a PB. To get that and a world record, I’m just speechless”.

Another Irish Olympian showed their support for the girls as Kellie Harrington tweeted showing her pride saying, “Ladies and Gents, two of my role models right here taking a beautiful Silver in the Paralympics #ParaCycling Eve & Katie 💚💚”.

Paralympics Ireland posted some gorgeous pictures of the cyclists celebrating and captioned one post, “#ParaCycling Katie-George and Eve will return to action on Day 7 and 10, they are by no means not finished yet 👊”.

A huge congratulations to the girls and best of luck with the rest of the events!
