Pete Davidson Mocks Kanye West Following His Pro-Trump SNL Rant

Leave it to Pete to get a bit of an LOL out of a bad situation.

Last week, Kanye West made an appearance on SNL wearing a Make America Great Again hat and gave the audience a nice pro-Trump lecture after the show stopped airing.

As one could only expect, Kanye has been slated since the rant, and now SNL comedian Pete Davidson has weighed in on the controversy.

Pete called out Kanye during his skit on SNL on Saturday night, saying:

“Speaking strictly for myself, what Kanye said after we went off the air last week was one of the worst, most awkward things I’ve ever seen here.” He added, “Kanye said that Democrats broke up black families with welfare, and that slavery is not real. Do you know how wrong about politics you have to be for, like, me to notice? Do you know how annoying that is?”

Pete’s point was very true, but he still managed to make it funny, poking fun at the situation.

“Kanye is a genius, but like a musical genius. Like Joey Chestnut is a hot dog eating genius. I don’t want to hear Joey Chestnut’s opinion about things that aren’t hot dog related.”

Pete also took issue with Kanye declaring that “this is the real me. I’m off the meds.”

“Take ’em! There’s no shame in the medicine game. I’m on them, they’re great,” Pete said. “Being mentally ill is not an excuse to act like a jackass.”

Pete then whipped took out a red “MAGA” inspired hat that said ‘Make Kanye 2006 Again.’

We can only assume Kanye won’t take anything Pete has said on board, but at least he tried.
