Pirates Of The Caribbean Is Getting A Reboot Featuring Margot Robbie
It's set to be a female fronted cast with Margot Robbie as the lead.
Everyone’s favourite Disney franchise is getting not one, but two re-boot’s. Late last year it was announced that there would be a reboot of the popular story which features the screenwriters from the original films, Ted Elliot and Craig Mazin.
However, there is set to be another film made in the Pirates of the Caribbean world featuring Margot Robbie. Reports so far say that this movie will be a stand alone film with all new characters, and be led by a female fronted cast with Margot as it’s lead.

There is very little news on the project so far, but The Hollywood Reporter has revealed; “the project, in early development, is not intended to be a spinoff of the long-running franchise that had pirate Jack Sparrow at its centre, but rather a wholly original story with new characters under the Pirates moniker, itself inspired by the long-running attraction at Disneyland.”
Margot is no stranger to an action role, having starred as Harley Quinn in multiple films. The screenwriter of Birds of Prey, Christina Hodson, is to be working with her once again as she writes the script for the latest in the Disney franchise.

Pirates of the Caribbean is Disney’s most successful film franchise of all time, as over it’s five installments it has grossed over $4.5 billion in the box office.
It’s no wonder they’re delving into the choppy waters of the Caribbean once again. We can’t wait to see Margot in full pirate mode.
