‘Please…’: Lady Gaga Has One Very Special Request For Fans During Her Breakup

After news broke of Lady Gaga’s split from Taylor Kinney yesterday, fans took to Twitter in their droves to share their sadness.

Like, people really could not cope:

Thankfully it looks like things might not be over for good between Gaga and Taylor, who got engaged last year after four years together.

The singer took to Instagram this morning to let her “Little Monsters” know that while the pair had parted ways, for now it was just as a “break” and that they hoped the rough patch would pass.

Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.

“Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates,” she wrote in the emotional post, alongside a black-and-white snap of herself and her former fiancé.

“Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared.”

And rather than the standard “we ask for your privacy at this time,” the Bad Romance singer had a rather touching request for her dedicated fans: to keep their fingers crossed for a reunion.

“Please root us on,” she finished. “We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”

Don’t worry Gaga, we’re rooting for you guys.
