Prince William And Kate Middleton Have Finally Been Awarded Damages Over *Those* Topless Photos

It's not as much as they had hoped for.

Kate Middleton and Prince William have finally been awarded damages by a French court following the publication of unsolicited topless photos in French Closer magazine in 2012.

The Duchess of Cambridge had been holidaying with her husband at a private estate in the south of France when photographers used telephoto lenses to zoom in and capture photos of her sunbathing.

The court found her privacy had been invaded, and ordered the gossip magazine (as well as the photo agency) to pay Kate and William €50,000 each.

According to Esquire, this is significantly less than the €1.5 million the couple were reportedly seeking, and their lawyer Jean Veil said it’s up to them to interpret the outcome.

Do you think they deserved more than they got?
