R Kelly Has Been Charged With Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse & His Victims Are Speaking Out

Singer R Kelly has surrendered himself for arrest in Chicago, and the reaction has been huge.

The I Believe I Can Fly singer was charged with ten count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse following last month’s shocking documentary, Surviving R Kelly aired around the world.

The four part series heard from women who had allegedly been sexually assaulted by the Grammy winner, including his ex wife and a number of underage girls.

Now, the 52-year-old has been charged with the sexual assaults, reported to have taken place between 1998 and 2010, and is due to appear at a bail hearing this weekend.

Despite Kelly’s lawyer claiming that ‘all the women are lying’ – one of his alleged victims Asante McGee, who appeared in the documentary, has said “‘When I first heard the news, I started crying because it was tears of joy.”

More details from the case are set to emerge over the weekend, but there has been huge reaction worldwide to the news of Kelly’s arrest.
