Really?! This Love Island Couple Just Got Engaged And Everyone Thinks It’s Too Soon

Ah Love Island. Remember that show that took over our lives during the summer? Well, two of its contestants have just gotten engaged.

Jessica Shears and Dom Lever confirmed their news to Ok! Magazine, saying they “couldn’t be happier”.

The pair only met three months ago when they both signed up to the ITV reality show, and since then their relationship has only grown stronger. They even got matching tattoos of each other’s initials on their arms.

Describing the proposal, Jess said, “It happened the night before the TV Choice Awards [on September 4]. We were staying in a lovely apartment in London.

“Dom had filled it with flowers and had got us a bottle of champagne. I was doing a Snapchat video saying how lucky I felt when he called me out onto the terrace. I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat when Dom got down on one knee – he said afterwards that he has never seen me smile like that!”

Dom added, “If I’d waited I don’t know when it would have had time to do it because we’re so busy at the moment. It felt like the right time.”

However, fans of the show reckon it’s too soon for an engagement, with some suggesting they’re only tying the knot to ‘stay relevant’.

One person tweeted, “As if Jess and Dom from love island are engaged I’ve had a set of acrylics on for longer than they’ve known each other…” while another said, “Dom and Jess are engaged… lol, that couple will legit do anything to stay relevant. Absolute tinpots.”

Surely jess and dom aren't engaged after 3 months? Surely it's a joke?
