Rosie Connolly Marks The Anniversary Of Her Father’s Passing With Touching Tribute

The Irish influencer spent the difficult day at the seaside with her mother.

Rosie Connolly has paid tribute to her late dad Peter on the anniversary of his passing.

At 18 years of age, the Irish influencer sadly lost her father due to a tragic drowning incident, and over a decade later, admits it’s still as painful as ever.

“12 years without my dad is 12 years too long. Miss you more than you’ll ever know,” she said.

To mark his anniversary, Rosie and her mum went for a swim, which she reveals brought them comfort on the difficult day. They also put flowers in the sea to honour him.

“I think my dad would have got a lot of entertainment out of my screams getting into that water. Only for you dad,” she said.

Rosie was sure to involve her late dad in her wedding, which took place in May 2018.

Ahead of the big day, she told VIP Magazine, “We’ll have a photograph of him on the alter – well, we’re not getting married in a church but where we’ll be saying our vows, just so I can see his face and feel he’s part of the day.

“I hope to do something with the wedding favours with regard to the RNLI, because dad drowned and they were fantastic, so I’d like to give back to them in some way.”
