Rosie Connolly has just shared one of her most honest posts yet, explaining her struggles with mental health and motherhood.

During an Instagram Q+A, Rosie said that the ‘glamorous’ life she portrays on social media isn’t always the one she leads, with her too having her own struggles just like everyone else. The question asked:

“Do you ever struggle as a mum? And not look so glam? Don’t no how u do it.”

To which Rosie began replying with:

“I cannot tell you how much I struggle at times… honestly!”

Rosie then went on to share her experience with anxiety and postnatal depression, a disorder that affects more than 1 in 10 mothers.

“Having suffered with post natal depression after both my babies, and long term anxiety since I was 18, it’s something I have to deal with year on year.

“I’m still on medication now for my PND and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I’ve been on and off meds over the years and they really did help me when I couldn’t help myself.”

Keeping this real, Rosie concluded her answer with how she faces each day:

“But please just know I do not have my s*** together, I cry more than once a week, I have plenty of days where I can’t think of anything worse than putting on makeup and getting dressed up or taking pictures”

“Just know that you’re doing your best. Like I always say, my Insta feed is about 5% of my life, the shiny, polished side. That’s not my day to day real life!”

Rosie gave birth to her first child Harry 6 years, and her youngest, Remi will turn 2 this year. She is also step-mum to husband Paul’s 8-year-old son Reuben.
