Selling Sunset’s Heather Shares An Update On Her Fertility Journey

"Just left my fertility doctor. Things are happening faster than I thought."

It’s not often that we hear good news stories from the cast of Selling Sunset, more often than not it’s tales of rumours and fallouts. But, it’s good news for Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa and her husband Tarek El Moussa, as they’re one step closer to welcoming their first child together.

Previously, Heather shared with her Instagram followers that “in the past, I had low fertility and low egg count”, leading her to freeze her embryos for the future.

Earlier this year, Heather updated her followers to say that the process is happening faster than she thought. “Just left my fertility doctor. Things are happening faster than I thought. I’m actually starting my injections tonight to stimulate my follicles and my eggs to get me ready for the retrieval, which should be happening in about two weeks.”

Now, Heather revealed during E! News’ Daily Pop that they’re one step closer to welcoming their first child together.

“We have four embryos that are saved right now. Three are the same gender and they’re all very strong. The fourth one’s not as strong, so we probably won’t use that one.”

While sharing the news, Heather almost revealed more than she had planned, “Wait, I’m not telling the gender! Good thing I remembered.”

Heather then also shared that she’s planning on carrying the baby herself: “My mom had a good pregnancy,” she said. “And my sister. So I feel like [I have] good genes, fingers crossed.”

The pair first began their fertility journey in early 2022, following their wedding in October of 2020. Tarek already has two children from his previous marriage, 11-year-old Taylor and six-year-old Brayden, who he shares custody of with ex-wife Christina Haack.
