Snapchat Announced A New “Limitless” Update And People Don’t Know How To Feel About It

Now your friends can watch your snaps as often as they like.

Snapchat just announced a new update that allows pictures and videos to be viewed a “limitless” amount of times, and people aren’t sure how to feel about it.

The social media app announced a new setting, called ‘Infinity!’ to its 10-second timer, so your friends can see your snap as many times as they want.

Team Snap said on their website, “We’ve all felt the frustration of not being able to fully enjoy a Snap – even after replaying it – and we wanted to give you the option of allowing the recipient to enjoy your Snap as long as they’d like.”

If your friend doesn’t want to watch your snap over and over again, they don’t have to. They can choose to ‘close’ your infinity snap, and once this happens, they won’t be able to view it again. “After your friend taps to close it, it will delete as usual,” Team Snap said.

But a lot of people think that this new feature completely defeats the purpose of Snapchat, claiming the joy of the app was always the fact that pictures and videos disappeared. Check out some of the reactions on Twitter…
