“So Offensive…” Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson Has Come Under Fire For Her Latest Instagram Post

Uh-Oh

Jesy Nelson has offended a lot of her Instagram followers and fans, as she posted a snap deemed to be very inappropriate.

The star, who is 1/4 of the world’s biggest girl group, Little Mix has been enjoying some down time since they decided to take some time off after their Glory Days world tour, and the girls have been working on their own projects since.

Yesterday the 26-year-old posted a picture from a photo shoot that she was on, and she looked amazing! But it was her hair style that sparked a huge debate in the comment section, as well as across social media.

Jesy has been accused of cultural appropriation for her decision to wear dreads on the shoot, and fans were quick to sound off in the comments.

“Wearing dreads is now part of black culture. Therefore using dreads as a means for fashion is disrespectful,” one upset follower commented, while another added “This is so offensive to black people Jesy.”

“Please do some research and understand why you should not have a hairstyle like this. It is disrespectful considering you are not of a black decent.”

Despite the clear upset from many of the people commenting on the post, there was also a huge portion of fans sticking up for the Shout Out To My Ex singer.

“Can’t understand how can anyone can take offence when we are all embracing each other’s cultures. This is unity,” quipped a supporter.

“Hairstyles are not cultural, and will never be, you can style your hair the way you want,” was another opinion.

What do you think?
