Sophie Turner’s Fans Defend Her Over Misogynistic Comments About Her Kids

Sophie Turner is living her best life.

The Game Of Thrones star had a tough 2023, going through a messy divorce from husband Joe Jonas, and entering into a legal battle over custody of their children.

But things seem to be looking up for Sophie, as her and Joe have allegedly reached a mutual agreement – and she’s got a brand new boo!

This week, Sophie hard launched her aristocrat boyfriend Peregrine Pearson on Instagram.

The English star shared snaps from a skiing holiday, captioned “Jägerbomb anyone?”

Peregrine can’t be seen super clearly, though his identity is confirmed by Sophie tagging his private Instagram account.

Exciting! Or at least, we think so. Ever since Sophie and Joe’s divorce went public, her comments have been flooded with misogynistic comments; and it’s only worsened since she’s shared pics with Peregrine.

Many Instagram users seem to take issue with the fact that Sophie, a working mother, might have passions or interests outside of her children.

On a sweet Instagram where Sophie paid tribute to her girl friends, writing “2023 was the year of the girlies,” one commenter complained, “What about your kids shouldn’t they be your greatest gift in life ??”

Another chimed in, “For the girls but obviously not your daughters.”

In her recent skiing post, the same sentiment can be seen dotted throughout the replies.

“Be a mom,” someone commented, while another added, “Classless these people have no respect for the institution of marriage great job screwing up the kids selfishness”.

We don’t need to tell you that these comments are pretty horrendous – considering Sophie is a normal woman, enjoying her life, who simply chooses not to overexpose her children on the internet!

No one is to know the private relationship she has with her kids; which we’d imagine is perfectly healthy. And frankly, it’s none of our business!

Thankfully, fans of Sophie have rushed to defend the star, pointing out the obvious misogyny underlying each negative comment.

“Okay so I just came from scrolling through Joe’s photo comments, and very surprisingly NO ONE is asking about his kids… so weird. I wonder whyy..” noted one user.

Someone else agreed, adding “Anyone asking where her kids are need to ask themselves if they’d ever ask this question to a man… and the answer is no.”

Another pointed out that the criticism seems to have stemmed from angry Joe fans, writing, “I’m so confused on why people are asking where her children are. She’s never posted her children, yet it was never a question of where they were before her divorce. Why is it in question now?”

“She’s not obligated to post her kids for your entertainment.”

“You guys realize as a woman that we have an identity outside of having our children right? A woman is more than a just a mother. Let her move on.”
