The gift that keeps on giving, the dream we hope never dies. Succession brings us all together, similar to Christmas or er – Love Island, in a way that’s hard to describe. Maybe it’s the betrayal, drama, suspense, or sheer chaos, but we just can’t get enough and now, we’re about to get more.

In October of last year, HBO announced that season four of the hit show would be coming soon… and well, confirmation that filming has started landed this week; hurrah!
So, what can we expect from this season? More episodes to start with. Season three had nine episodes, so to see season four back with 10 episodes is delightful.

Also, spoilers ahead for those not up to date…
HBO revealed an overview of the plot synopsis for season four in a statement, saying:
“In the 10-episode season four, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”

Thankfully, all the big names will also return for the fourth season, including Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun and J. Smith-Cameron.
Picking up where it left off, we’ll ultimately see a lot more of our favourite characters, with Tom making BIG moves, Shiv in a fit of rage, Logan one step ahead and a sibling regroup on how to *tactically* take their father down after many a failed attempt.

Bring it on.
As for a release date, well, since it has only began production, we will be waiting. Plus the pandemic has made it a little hard to gauge the shows usual release dates, so fingers crossed they turn it around quickly.
