Taylor Swift Announced A Surprise Album & Fans Are Losing It

Taylor Swift has done it again.

The major pop star has shocked her fanbase by announcing a surprise brand new album, coming in April.

While accepting her 13th Grammy (wild!) for best pop vocal album, Tay took the opportunity to break the news to the world.

“I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the last two years. Which is that my brand-new album comes out April 19th.”

The album is called The Tortured Poets Department, and has sixteen tracks; including one called But Daddy I Love Him, and another called I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can).

Florence + The Machine allegedly features on the album, as does Post Malone. Intriguing!

Of course, Swifties everywhere went into full meltdown mode upon learning the news; particularly because Taylor had done a nice job of throwing them off the scent.

By wearing an outfit to the Grammys that many felt represented her Reputation album, fans prepared themselves for Taylor to announce the re-recorded version.

Alas, she duped us all, and of course it’s sent every Taylor Swift adjacent social media user into a spin; whether they’re reacting in excitement or making memes out of the shock reveal!
