Fans Are Fed Up With A Certain Reference On SATC Reboot

Sex in the City’s reboot And Just Like That has definitely divided people. Some love it, some hate but let’s be honest, we’re all watching it. However, one aspect of the show has fans and haters united; they hate Miranda’s obsession with the nickname Rambo.
In case you need a quick recap; In the second episode, Miranda catches her son Brady and Che smoking joints and berates them. Later in the episode, Miranda is officially introduced to Che and discovers that they are Carrie’s boss.
The pair hits it off much better this time around, and Che jokingly calls Miranda “Rambo”, a reference to Sylvester Stallone’s super soldier character, due to her strict parenting style. Since that episode, Che and Miranda began a bit of flirtation, during which Miranda always refers to herself as Rambo.
To say this trait has been getting on people’s nerves is an understatement, and fans, exhausted with this behaviour, have taken to Twitter to demand a stop to the cringey nickname.

I love Miranda so much but every time she refers to herself as “Rambo,” I want to gouge my eyes out with a spoon. #andjustlikethat

grateful “and just like that” airs weekly because sanity-wise I don’t think I’m capable of binge-watching miranda call herself “rambo” every episode

I was drunk when I watched the And Just Like That premiere, so I don’t remember why Miranda calls herself Rambo to Che and I think that makes it funnier.

So far, there has been no response to Rambogate from anyone involved, but these threats of mutiny seem serious and should be treated as such.
