Love Island’s Gabriel Says He Doesn’t ‘Have Criminal Record’ After Removal From Villa

"I don't have a criminal record"

Love Island’s Gabriel Garner has spoken out after he was removed from the villa during Casa Amor.

The contestant arrived to the villa as a Casa boy and formed a connection with one of the girls, before he was removed from the show.

ITV said they would “not be commenting further out of a duty of care towards participants,” but viewers figured out that the model was reportedly linked to a legal offence in 2019.

Gabriel has since taken to social media to “clear up some things” following his exit from the villa.

“There was an incident that happened at a party I was at when I was a teenager. This incident is obviously one that should not be taken lightly, and was very traumatic for everyone concerned,” he said.

“I just wanted to make it clear that the legal judge has found no wrongdoing against me, and I don’t have a criminal record. This has obviously resulted in me leaving Love Island, which is very disappointing, especially from a personal perspective.”

Gabriel said that he was “forming a really, really strong connection”, which viewers “didn’t get to see.”

“I just wanted to tell you guys this directly instead of having headlines say it for me, and thank people for sending me kind and supportive messages, it really means a lot.”

Love Island viewers have guessed that Gabriel was forming a connection with Priya before he left the show.

The model was completely edited out of the show, meaning that Priya then had to get to know Jordon – even though their connection isn’t all that strong.
