The Wildest Things That Happened in Love Is Blind UK

Spoilers, obv

Love Is Blind UK has officially landed on Netflix.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve already binged them all and absolutely have many, many questions.

You’ve also probably made note of some of the wildest things that have already happened in Love Is Blind UK so far. This is them.

1. We had a proposal after.. one episode

I understand that this is literally the format of the show, but excuse me!?

One episode in, less than an hour, and already Sabrina and Steven are engaged and in love.

What’s more is that Sabrina is from Northern Ireland. She’s our Irish gal! And she’s basically the main character of this show? Obsessed.

2. No one wants the funeral director?

Girls… think about the money.

Or failing that, think about all of the fascinating stories you’ll hear, the goss he’ll acquire, and the things he’ll know!

Love Is Blind Ireland would be all over this guy.

3. The gym chat

Did anyone else need to pause the show and go take a walk when those two people bonded over going to the gym twice a day?

Just me? Okay.

4. Cirque gate

While chatting in the pods, Ollie decides that he doesn’t really feel a spark with Catherine after she tells him that she went to Cirque, a club in London, for her birthday.

“Kind of pretentious isn’t it?” he asks, before Catherine’s face falls and she tries to explain that she wouldn’t usually go there.

She later cried about it. And fair.

5. Benaiah’s hair

This man may not be ready for marriage, but he has the best hair in the show… And honestly that should be enough.

Drop the hair care routine, sir.

6. Sam’s weird weight comment

In episode two, Sam goes back to the guys and expresses his concern that Nicole said something “weird” in the pods.

After telling her that he couldn’t wait to pick her up and kiss her, he said he was worried that she may have hinted that he wouldn’t be able to do so.

He also said that he “liked meat” and that it was “fine if someone’s a bit… it’s just a weird thing to say.”

Riiiiiight…

7. The lack of I love you

After Nicole decided to choose Sam over Benaiah, the pair finally got to meet each other… and Sam was blown away.

Nicole, on the other hand, said that she was struggling to connect the man she’d met in the pods with the man in front of her.

As they were saying goodbye, Sam told Nicole he loved her and… she didn’t say it back.

She then later ended it with him and asked to meet up with Benaiah. Ooft.

8. The alcohol consumption

5 or 6 episodes in and one thing is for certain.. these people are pissed.

And not angry, drunk. Super drunk. Maybe all the time.

Those gold frosted glasses tell us nothing, but we can see it in their eyes..

9. Tom’s judgement

I like Tom, okay? I think he seems nice and a bit silly and is very handsome. HOWEVER. 

When he said that he originally judged Maria for being a makeup artist because he’s a “high powered exec”, my jaw dropped.

Who do you think you are, man? And get off your phone!

10. Sam and Benaiah’s chat

Of course Sam was going to return for the drinks ep. Of course he was.

This man landed into that bar and had one goal – to cause some shit between Benaiah and Nicole. And hey look, he very nearly almost did before he decided to tell Benaiah that Nicole was once upon a time interested in sleeping with him.

Benaiah loled and then went and leaned against a juke box. It was all very dramatic.

11. A bowling alley??

When Ollie went to go meet Demi’s family, they went to a bowling alley.

Do they like bowling? Does Demi’s family like bowling? Is there a reason they met up in this location rather than a house or bar like… everyone else?

Why did Ollie and Demi’s lovely dad have to have a heart to heart leaning awkwardly against a pool table?

Make it make sense.

12. Jasmine’s mam telling Bobby that he’s uneducated to his face

Need I say more?

13. The boys’ stag

It involved one of those pedal pub things. Just no.

14. Tom leaving Maria at the alter

Okay, it probably isn’t too surprising that these two didn’t work out, but the way it went down? Harrowing.

Tom was told to call Maria’s mum ‘mum’ in an emotional chat before later telling her daughter he didn’t want to marry her because they had cultural differences.

Excuse me?

15. Catherine’s friends

In the show’s final episode, Freddie tells Catherine he loves her but that they’re not ready to get married.

Catherine’s friends later tell Catherine that they didn’t see this coming at all. Of course you did, girls! Don’t lie to your friend! Be real with her!
