‘These Are Uncertain Times’ Derry Girls Cast Share Home Video From Isolation
"The year is 1996 and we're speaking from Derry, Northern Ireland"
The Derry Girls are back and as witty as ever before.
In a video tweeted by Channel 4, two characters of the hit TV show Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson) and Orla (Louisa Harland) are sharing an update from isolation in Derry.
Explaining that the year is 1996, Erin and Orla are giving us an update from their hiding spot in Derry as “peace negotiations have broken down and mass rioting engulfs our streets.”
“We’ve been ordered to remain inside our homes by the authorities,” continues Erin.
“You mean our mammies,” adds Orla.
The pair continue to bicker back and forth as Erin tries to address the seriousness of their issue while Orla keeps it light by adding that she has made a “wee man out of chewing gum”.
“A situation like this makes you appreciate all the things that you took for granted,” says Erin.
Being “mostly grateful for my family” she adds before Orla chimes in to say she’s most grateful for Coco Pops.
